Trouble signing in?
The questions we get most about signing in and accounts — and if none of them fit, write to us below. We answer as quickly as we can.
Common questions
What is a passkey, and how do I sign in with one?
A passkey is a key that stays on your device and never reaches us. You confirm with a fingerprint, your face or your device PIN. To sign in you don’t even type your address: choose “Mit Passkey anmelden”, your device shows its own picker, you confirm — done. You create a passkey when you create your account, or at any time later in the settings.
Does a passkey replace the emailed link?
No — both ways stay open and lead to the same account. You can sign in with the passkey today and with the link tomorrow, depending on which device you happen to be at. And if you created your account by email, you can add a passkey at any time in the settings. A passkey switches nothing off; it is simply the quicker way.
How long is the emailed link valid?
15 minutes, and it works exactly once. “Already used or expired” means just that — often because a preview in your mailbox opened the link first, or because the mail was clicked again later. Just request a new one on the sign-in page. There is a one-minute pause between sends, and after three resends the form explains why it stops.
I’m on a new device — my passkey is on the old one.
What to do depends on where your passkey is stored. If it syncs with your keychain (iCloud or your Google account, for instance), it is simply available on the new device. If it lives only on the old device, sign in with the emailed link — that leads to the same account — and then add a second passkey for the new device in the settings. The settings also show how many of your passkeys are synced and would survive losing a device.
No email arrives.
Check your spam folder first; the mail comes from noreply@rasenregent.de. One thing helps you place the problem: if there is no account for your address, the form says so immediately and offers “Konto erstellen” — no mail is sent at all in that case. So if the form showed no error and nothing arrives, it is a delivery problem: check the address for typos, give the mail a few minutes, then request a new link. If that does not help either, write to us below and name the address the link should go to.
“Für diese E-Mail-Adresse gibt es noch kein Konto”
You were on “Anmelden” (sign in) but don’t have an account yet. Switch to “Konto erstellen” (create account) — your address stays in the field — and accept the terms. The link works after that. The reverse holds too: if you already have an account, “Anmelden” is your way in.
I mistyped my address when creating the account.
As long as the address has not been confirmed, you can discard the half-finished account and start over — the button is on the confirmation page (“Konto verwerfen und neu starten”). A passkey you created along the way opens nothing afterwards. If the address has already been confirmed we cannot move it at the moment; write to us below in that case.
Someone created an account with my address.
If an account with a passkey exists for your address and was never confirmed, you can take it over: enter your address and choose “Adresse bestätigen und übernehmen”. You get a link, and it removes the other passkeys and ends every session of that account. If the account already runs a club or holds a reserved starting place, we do not take it over automatically for security reasons — please get in touch with us then.
Removing a passkey or changing your email address
Neither is something you can do yourself yet. Adding another passkey works in the settings; removing an existing one is a security feature we would rather build properly than offer half-finished. Until then we do both for you — write to us below.
Nothing here fits?
Describe the problem briefly. The more precise, the faster we can help — the address in question and what you last tried are almost always the details that matter.
